2013 ESVO Annual Meeting
Dear ESVO member,
As a follow up to the recent letter explaining the change in plans for the annual conference of the ESVO, I would like to inform you that the next ESVO annual meeting will be in
Bucharest, Romania. October 17 – 20 th 2013.
The first day will be a continuation of the ESVO workshop series with two workshops one on Endolaser cyclophotocoagulation, in which there will be five workstations, each with its own endolaser, permitting good contact time per delegate.
A second workshop will be presented on the use of amniotic membrane for the treatment of corneal ulcers. There will be ten workstations, each with its own operating microscope. Again this will permit good contact time per delegate.
The main topic of the conference will be ‘Feline ophthalmology’. We are fortunate to have Kerry Ketring from the USA as one of our guest speakers.
We also welcome Kristina Narfstrom for an update on feline retinal disease. Kristina will also present the popular hereditary eye disease session with slides of interesting and challenging cases. We are delighted that Kristina has accepted our invitation.
There will be abstracts (poster session), short communications and state of the Art lectures, alongside the continuing eduction day and the general scientific programme.
All abstracts will be printed in the electronic version of Veterinary Ophthalmology
Abstract submission deadline – June 30th 2013
As always, this is a conference which has a high scientific level with the topics presented being very practical for the ophthalmology practitioner.
I hope that you can all come to Bucharest and make this a meeting to renew friendships and take home new skills to your veterinary ophthalmology practice.
The location will ensure that this meeting is very good value financially, the details are on the new ESVO website.
